MEET THE TEAM
COREY CAIN
Lead Pastor
Corey and his wife, Melody, have three children, Caleb, Bennett and Emmy. They cheer
for the Titans and Vols for football, but have been lifelong Kentucky basketball fans. Corey and his family enjoy being active in the community, participating in sports and music, and having
people in their home. They view their activities outside the walls of the church as opportunities to introduce others to Christ and welcome them into the church. Corey sees evangelism,
discipleship, and missions as a vital part of the church’s purpose. He received his Master of
Divinity from Southern Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Seminary. Corey began serving as Lead Pastor at SFBC in 2020. He’d love the chance to meet you when you visit, or if you’d like to stop by the office! You can also email him at ccain@seymourfbc.org
AUSTIN CLARK
Worship & Missions Pastor
Austin and his wife, Leah, have three kids, Elisha, Everett, and Norah. They are some of
the biggest St. Louis Cardinals fans you will meet, and they often practice their culinary skills in the kitchen and on the grill. Austin is a graduate of Union University and received his Master’s in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi. Austin leads our worship and missions ministries. He came to Seymour First Baptist in January 2021. If you’re interested in getting involved in either of these areas, check out the details here on the website and contact Austin! You can email Austin at aclark@seymourfbc.org
JASON VINEYARD
Family Pastor
Jason and his wife, Megan, have four boys, Roman, Preston, Taitum, and Jaxton. This crew loves the North Carolina Tarheels and MFuge camps! Jason attended Wingate University and received his Master’s of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Seminary. Jason has served as the Student Pastor at Seymour First Baptist since 2016. He is passionate about seeing students and their families grow in their relationships with Christ through discipleship, worship, and Bible study. If you have questions about getting involved in the student or kids’ ministries at SFBC, Jason would love to talk with you! You can email Jason at jvineyard@seymourfbc.org
Tiger Brooks
Discipleship Pastor
Tiger and his wife, Paige, have one daughter, Ellie Marie, a college student at the University of Tennessee, and their faithful dog, Archie. All were born and raised in Kingsport, TN and are happy to still be serving in God’s country, the hills of East Tennessee. The Brooks family is fond of good coffee, good music, and good company, not necessarily in that order. Tiger is a graduate of Milligan College (now Milligan University) with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He earned his Master of Divinity with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling from the Gardner-Webb University School of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. If you have any questions about the discipling ministries of SFBC, including Sunday School, D-Groups (discipleship groups), or where the best places to eat are in the Greater Seymour/Knoxville area, Tiger is your man! You can email Tiger at tbrooks@seymourfbc.org
Sean Trollinger
Student Minister
Sean and his wife, Cameron, both grew up in Greensboro, NC. They have known each other majority of their lives considering they were in school together all the way back to their time in daycare, but it wasn’t until later high school that they began dating. Sean proposed to Cameron the fall semester of his senior year of college, and they got married the following September, 2019. On June 2nd of 2023 God blessed them with a beautiful little girl named Hallel. Sean and Cameron have served side by side in student ministry for many years and look forward to the doors that God will open within the lives of students here in Seymour. If there is ever a need, reach out to Sean at strollinger@seymourfbc.org
Ben Paddock
College Minister
Ben and his wife, Kaija, have three adult sons, Cade, Ashtyn, and Mekhi. All were born and raised in Indiana. They served in their local church in Zionsville, IN all their married life where Ben was also the lay marriage pastor for those last several years. God led them to seek full-time ministry in August of 2021, moving them to Knoxville, TN to attend Johnson University. While earning his degree, Ben interned at SFBC. He received an associate degree in Congregational Ministry Leadership in May of 2023. Once he graduated with his associate, he began a full-time position with BLOC Ministries serving the Lord in the Vestal Community of South Knoxville and at SFBC as the part-time College Minister. Ben and Kaija have a passion for helping families, especially in marriage and young adult life. If there is ever a need, reach out to Ben at bpaddock@seymourfbc.org.
BOB SCHULTZ
Senior Adult Pastor
Bob has attended Seymour First Baptist since 1961! He and his wife, Judy, have two children and 4 grandkids. Previously, he served in the Air Force and worked in the business and banking worlds (Ferguson Enterprises and Knoxville/Third Nation Bank). After retirement in 2009, God called him to serve through ministering to senior adults at SFBC in 2014. Bob loves the mountains, their quiet solitude, and the natural outdoor cathedral they offer for worship. If you’re interested in getting involved with our senior adult ministry, be sure to let him know so you can get plugged in! You can email Pastor Bob at bschultz@seymourfbc.org
