Welcome!
Thank you for visiting us via our SFBC website. First Baptist is family of Christian believers committed to connecting Christ with the Seymour community. That means that we are very intentional about Loving God and Loving Others. How do we do that? By sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a church family, we share this message of salvation whenever we worship, study God’s Word or minister together. We declare that Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE! We rejoice in knowing that Jesus Christ is the answer to all of life’s questions. He is your answer, too! So, as you explore our website, our prayer is that you will see that SFBC is a welcoming family. Then, our hope is that you will be our guest at First Baptist, and find out for yourself that we are a family you will want to claim as your own, too!

Pastor Bruce
I would be interested in your adult dulcimer ministry. I am 76 yrs old and am a member of Hillcrest Bapt Ch. on Laws Chapel Rd. I have been taking classes at Pellissippi for three 9 week sessions, therefore I am not a beginner. I cannot find how to contact you by email so if you would just answer this so I may get information from you. Thanks.
Thank you for your interest in the dulcimer ministry. Contact Nathan at nwilliamson@seymourfbc.org or call 865-577-1954.
I think that the youth minister should minister to ALL of the students, as he was hired to do. Some very faithful students are not even getting a greeting.
Please do what the Bible teaches and go to him directly!

Small group bible studies are offered at various times throughout the year. We attempt to offer studies that address various interests and needs of our participants. More about this Fall’s offerings will be announced later this Summer.
During July and August we have what is called “’round the tables” group discussions that are based on Pastor Bruce’s sermon series. For several of those Sundays, we meet in the gym around 5 for a meal followed by discussions around the tables.
